Ambi-Dry II Verge Systems

Ambi-Dry Verge II is the latest iteration of Redland’s best-selling Ambi-Dry Verge series. Designed to work specifically with Cambrian Slate or DuoPlain, Ambi-Dry Verge II has been updated to comply fully with BS 8612.

Manufactured from PVC, Ambi-Dry Verge provides a neat, maintenance-free verge with very high resistance to storm damage and, with no mortar required, removes concerns about mortar failure.

Description

  • Secure fixing system provides high resistance to wind uplift for both verge tiles and dry verge system
  • Quick to install and can be laid at variable gauges to suit the minimum and maximum headlaps of the tiles
  • Adapted on site to fit either the left or right-hand verge
  • Eliminates the need for an undercloak
  • Tried and tested and complies with BS 5534:2014 requirements for mechanical fixing

Winners and contenders alike praise the BMI Apprentice of the Year competition

Each year, the BMI Apprentice of the Year competition helps apprentices on their journey to build their future career – by helping them with better business understanding, stronger communication skills and improved confidence. BMI National Training Centre flattens Ceiran’s learning curve

The BMI National Training Centre welcomed an old friend, when roofer Ceiran Peel-Price attended one of the centre’s flat roofing courses. Ceiran is no stranger to the BMI National Training Centre – based in Gloucestershire – as he had been a finalist in the pitched roof category of the annual BMI Apprentice of the Year competition in both 2017 and 2018.

The two previous competitions were hailed a great success, unearthing some exciting roofing talent and, with this year’s competition open for entries, BMI looks back on the competition and the great things that have been achieved by past entrants.
