It provides new roofs for two blocks of flats, totalling a massive 4,500 m2 and Redland’s total service package was the main reason for the specification.
The project involved like-for-like replacement. The highly visible blocks had previously been roofed with natural clay tiles, so the Rosemary Clay Classic was the obvious product choice.
However, Redland does not just supply the tiles and for this project the company wrote the detailed specification (using its highly regarded SpecMaster service) and project managed the whole installation using weekly site visits to check progress.
As the installation is backed by the SpecMaster specification, Hackney Homes has the reassurance of Redland’s 15 year SpecMaster guarantee.
Redland is working as part of the supply chain for this £5million refurbishment project, co-ordinating with roofing contractor EJ Roofing and contractor Mansell. This project is part of an on-going programme of refurbishment being carried out by Hackney Homes and Redland has been a significant supplier since the start some seven years ago.
