Redland's Wakaflex Rapid Flashing Strip makes flashing around chimneys and other roof openings easy. It does not require any tedious cutting out of old mortar and chasing into the brickwork. It does not require complicated cutting of the flashing to match the bricks.
Simply lay Wakaflex Rapid Flashing up against the wall or side abutment, using a roller to smooth it to the wall and ensure the integrated butyl strip bonds well. Then overlay the Rapid Flashing Strip along the top edge of the Wakaflex Rapid Flashing and secure using suitable 6mm alloy screws through the pre-drilled holes in the Strip. Finish with a single bead of Rapid Flashing Sealant to seal any gaps between the Strip and wall.
Using the Wakaflex Rapid Flashing Strip not only saves time and creates a simple easy solution, but it also requires less flashing material. By removing the traditional stepped flashing detail, typically 85mm can be saved off the flashing roll width.
