  1. Entrants must be currently employed by, or contracted to a roofing firm or a roofer at the time of the competition being judged.
  2. Redland Apprentice of the Year 2018 entrants must be currently enrolled with one of the participating colleges or training groups which are: Bolton College; Cornwall College, St Austell; Eastern Roof Training Group; Edinburgh College; Leeds College of Building; National Construction College (NCC) Midlands; NCC Erith; Newcastle College; South West Roof Training Group; Wales National Roof Training Group; South Lanarkshire College; Dundee & Angus College
  3. Entries need to be fully completed and signed by Entrants and signed by an employer or a tutor – an entry will not be accepted if it isn’t complete.
  4. Only one entry per person. Multiple entries from one person will not be accepted.
  5. All entries must be received by 04/05/2018.
  6. No responsibility can be taken for entries which are lost, delayed, corrupted or damaged, misdirected or incomplete or which cannot be delivered for any technical reason.
  7. The Judges must be satisfied that Entrants meet the criteria established for the competition.
  8. The Judges have the right to disqualify any entries.
  9. The Judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  10. Finalists will be announced and notified on 25/05/2018..
  11. If the Promoter is unable to contact a Finalist within one week, the Promoter reserves the right to select another Finalist.
  12. Entrants agree to participate in judging and associated activities. If judged a Finalist, Entrants agree to participate in the Icopal Apprentice of the Year or the Redland Apprentice of the Year 2018 competition in South Cerney, Gloucestershire on the 26th and 27th June 2018.
  13. The prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash.
  14. Recipients of prizes are personally responsible for any tax liability they may incur as a result of accepting rewards.
  15. Accommodation, dinner, bed & breakfast for Finalists and their Course Representative shall be provided and approved travel expenses shall be paid by BMI.
  16. Owing to circumstances outside the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right to alter, amend or withdraw the competition at any time.
  17. The Finalists agree to participate in any publicity relating to this award with no further recompense. This may include, but is not exclusive to, interviews/photographs with media.
  18. Participants in the Promotion agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. The Promoter reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any Participant found to be abusing or tampering with the operation of the Promotion, or to be acting in any manner deemed by the Promoter to be in violation of the terms and conditions or in a manner that could bring the Promotion into disrepute.
  19. The terms shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with English Law and any dispute shall be governed and by the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts.
