The challenge is on for roofing apprentices, who are one day looking to run their own business, to come forward to convince us that they are the most likely to succeed!
Up to 20 finalists will be invited, along with their course tutor, to attend the two-day final on the 26th and 27th June. (Accommodation, dinner, bed & breakfast plus approved travel expenses shall be paid).
It’s a competition that will test several aspects of a well-rounded apprentice, not just skills on the roof.
Finalists will receive professional coaching on all aspects of running a roofing business and will take part in “knowledge-sharing sessions” with roofing industry leaders, before battling it out to see who the Apprentice of the Year 2018 will be!
1. Tell us about a person that has motivated you to succeed.
2. What motivated you to enter the roofing industry?
3. How do you motivate yourself and those around you at college and at work?
Entries can be in the form of an essay, a video submission, a presentation or whatever form you choose.
Submit your entry by 4th May 2018 to be in with a chance to go through to the final.
Judges will be looking for evidence of a motivated individual with spark, who also demonstrates awareness of the roofing industry.
Finalists will be announced on 25th May 2018.
Entrants need to be a member of one of the participating colleges* and you can download the Redland Apprentice of the Year 2018 entry form here or on the link below.
